Chelsea considering Zidane to replace Maurizio Sarri

Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly considering Zinedine Zidane as a possible replacement for current manager Maurizio Sarri.

Italian manager Sarri is now under intense pressure at Stamford Bridge after a humiliating 6-0 loss to reigning Premier League champions Manchester City in their last encounter.

The defeat set Chelsea back behind rivals Manchester United and Arsenal in the battle to finish in the top four.

Chelsea has conceded 12 goals in their last three away Premier League outings against Arsenal, Bournemouth and Manchester City.

Sarri has been under intense pressure after he was confronted by a Chelsea supporter following their loss to Bournemouth.

Eden Hazard’s possible departure is a reason Chelsea are considering replacing Sarri with Zidane

According to a report by the Daily Mail, following the defeat to Manchester City the Chelsea board are already fed up with Sarri’s methods and are ready to end his reign regardless of what happens at the end of the season.

Zidane who stepped down as manager of Spanish LaLiga side Real Madrid in the summer is been tipped to replaced Sarri.

In the report, the Chelsea hierarchy want to replace Sarri due to the bad results and form.

Also Chelsea hope to convince star player Eden Hazard who has been linked with a possible move to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window to sign a new deal as he has just one year left on his current Contract

The Belgium captain is also a known admirer of Zidane and will help persuade him to stay if appointed.

Zidane has wealth of experience winning three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles compared to Sarri who is yet to win a trophy.
