Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Juventus from Real Madrid has not gone down well with Napoli fans as they poked fun at the superstar by making a toilet paper with his picture on it.
The 33-year-old move to Juventus has been hailed by several pundits and players as a good one for the Italian Serie A, however rival fans are not interested in the havoc the superstar is expected to cause.
Napoli have pushed Juventus close to the Scudetto race in the last two seasons, and supporters of the club are visibly unhappy that Juventus have added strength to their team with one of the best players in the world.
Juventus who have won the last six Serie A titles are expected to be stronger with the acquisition of Ronaldo and may be set for continental glory which Napoli fans seem to dread the possibility.
However, money has been made by Juventus since Ronaldo’s signing, as ticket sales have improved so also has jersey sales since the conclusion of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Napoli fans have also decided to cash in on Ronaldo’s arrival as a particular vendor has taken to selling toilet paper with his face on it, to show dislike at the signing.
Tension between Juventus and Napoli has risen in recent seasons especially since Gonzalo Higuain moved to the Old Lady.
Even then when a player was taken from their camp, Napoli fans did not get so angry like making toilet papers for Higuian.
After his exploits at the World Cup, Ronaldo is due back in training with Juventus after his CR7 tour of China.
