The search for ‘The Next Titan’ is on as Nigeria’s foremost entrepreneurial reality show ‘The Next Titan’ headlined by Heritage Bank returns with the fifth season. ‘The Next Titan’ is a 10-week entrepreneurial reality TV show geared at igniting the entrepreneurial spirit of young Nigerians, and the innovative show gives an opportunity to young aspiring entrepreneurs to battle against one another for a grand prize of 5 Million Naira.
Highlighting the importance of the show at a press briefing in Lagos, the executive producer of the show, MideKunle-Akinlaja said, “It lies in igniting entrepreneurial spirit and showcasing the possibility of entrepreneurship in transforming lives with just an idea that can be scaled to greatness with a market and with Nigeria’s population. By scouting for young talented people who have entrepreneurial acumen, grooming them through rigorous tasks, boardroom process, mentorship and eventually funding a winner’s idea leading to an opportunity to create jobs for themselves and others.
MideKunle-Akinlaja also said the fifth season of the show promises to be exciting as the organisers have put in work in improving contents with the aim of keeping the viewers of the show glued to their TV sets. “This season of the show will be more exciting as we have ensured that we work more on our content to make it entertaining regardless of the fact that it is a business reality show, so that more viewers will be interested in watching the show while we at the same time pass the message of entrepreneurship to them,” he noted.
The process of the search for the next winner of ‘The Next Titan’ starts with auditions at four major zones in Nigeria which are Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Lagos, where potential contestants will pitch their business ideas after which the top 50 will be selected for the Top 50 Boot Camp and then 16 final contestants with the brightest ideas will be shortlisted to live together and compete for the grand prize of five million naira and a brand new car by carrying out weekly business tasks and challenges around the city of Lagos for 10 weeks with weekly evictions in the boardroom by the judges.
Auditions kick off at Abuja on the 24th of July. The main judges of the show are Kyari Bukar, Chairman, Nigerian Economic Summit Group, Tonye Cole, CEO, Sahara Group and other captains of the business industry.
